I have been a client of Body Complete since its inception in 2013. I thought I was reasonably fit, given I walked my dogs up and down hills every day and then I started attending one outdoor session a week and I realised that my cardio vascular fitness was zero. So I soon upped it to two and then three because I loved it and I got totally hooked on how I felt and how it changed my physical appearance. I also recognise how important regular exercise is for my mental and physical health and overall confidence.

My old life, pre Yorkshire, couldn’t have been more different. I had a great career in HR working for various well-known companies; British American Tobacco, Arthur Andersen and Hiscox Insurance. Then I had a career break and two boys, and ran a small hobby farm at home.

In 2017, things changed again and I started working for Body Complete with Chris as his administrator, managing the client side of the business. This role soon evolved and now I manage his business, allowing Chris to get on with the important role of personal coaching his clients, alongside two other part time staff members.

In 2019, I started my own business, Stronger for Longer, specifically targeting older clients (55+), providing small group training sessions tailoured to this audience. This service has now expanded to offer the same membership experience to the over 30s. So now Stronger for Longer delivers bespoke ‘semi-private’ coaching to two different types of client with specific fitness programmes to meet their needs. I employ various coaches, all with a different expertise, to deliver the group training sessions that are limited to no more than 6 clients. We operate out of the Body Complete personal training studio because it has everything we need.

I believe small group personalised training is the best way to get the most out of your body. It’s safe, it’s fun and above all it’s proven to work.. I have seen so many clients achieve their goals through this Semi Private coaching programme. There is nothing better than to work collaboratively with a client to help them achieve a healthier lifestyle and to facilitate them to feel better about themselves.
